That one is a particularly difficult screw to get out without messing up everything if it's stuck. It's just a set screw with a slot in it and it's hard to get to. Once you mess up the slot, you are headed for failure.
Eventually, you will probably end up messing up the housing or deciding you really don't need to get the screw out anyway.
The best bet would have probably been to start soaking the screw with penetrant for weeks ahead of time. But, how many of us have that much patience.
Maybe, there is a way to apply heat to break the screw free? Perhaps a big soldering iron or gun. I will have to look at it again.
