Neither the 6 volt nor 12 volt positive battery to starter cables were armored. Rather, they were "automotive, low tension, rubber insulated, cotton braid, flame retardant, water and oil proof covering, single conductor, stranded, color white or black, tracer 2 black or white."

The negative battery cables were nearly identical in construction (not armored) but had only 1 white or black tracer.

The only "armored battery" type cable I'm aware of on a WC 3/4 ton Dodge is the radio power positive cable on the Carryall that starts at the outside battery box, runs underneath the wood floor and terminates at the radio junction box on the interior wall behind the driver. That radio power positive cable is run inside large diameter romex flexible metal tubing from the battery compartment to the radio terminal box and its firmly attached at both ends.

I can't recall whether the command cars used a short piece of romex tubing or hard conduit to protect the radio power positive cable that goes from the battery to the nearby CC radio terminal box.
