on my 2010 dodge diesel, it does not matter. my trans and engine do not heat up. my exterior temp sensor, does get blocked by the plow and it throws off my interior climate control. the 2011s and later now have the sensor in the driver side mirror. guys complain that the mirror is much more expensive bc of the sensor. cant win, but i'd prefer it in the mirror. on my first gen, the plow blocked the airflow and caused the engine to run warm. i travel from ny to nj all winter long with my plow on.
