durango hemi battery replacement

The battery in my 2005 Durango hemi finally died (original...not too bad eh?) in the garage a couple days ago. So I got the replacement (group 65) and tried to install it. It was hard enough getting the old one out, but getting the new one was next to impossible.

The problem is a the little clip at the bottom that is used to lock it down. There is not enough room to get your hand down there to put it in the right spot. Short of some disassembly, how do you do this?

It is currently installed by not secured properly with the clip.
