He recommended 50W engine oil (which is the same "weight"at 90W gear oil) in the tranny, and that is what I have been using, a conventional oil. The additives in the extreme pressure gear lube are not good for the transmission if I recall. Not an issue for the TC. I run 85-140 in the TC. I have thought about synthetic in the TC due to the NP200 not having much fluid capacity.
