Are you using a master cylinder and a slave cylinder from the same truck? I put a different master cylinder with a slave cylinder and had a hard pedal. It was harder than the mechanical clutch. If you master cylinder has a bigger bore than you slave cylinder your pedal will be hard. I went with the same bore on both and it was easier to push. I think a smaller master cylinder bore would give an even easier pedal.
