question about tie rod end hole reaming

I come to discover that the tie rod ends for the 1/2 ton WC are a bit to small for all of the threads to be visible on top. I believe that I will have to use a tapered reamer to enlarge the holes. Do I use a 7 degree reamer? I imagine I ream from the bottom of the hole on the steering knuckle. I am leery of damaging the part. Any advice appreciated or pics before i buy a reamer
