Yes. Consumers should have a choice. If you left it up to the oil companies and their branded convenience stores, there probably wouldn't be much choice.

It is fine to buy ethanol-free premium for collector cars and boats that mostly sit around. On the other hand, we should be using as much E15 (and E85 for flex fuel vehicles) as we can in our modern daily drivers.

There are a lot of things than can go wrong when fuel and vehicles sit around or if you fail to keep moisture out of the fuel. It's hard to engineer poor maintenance out of a product.

Materials compatibility can easily be engineered into a product. I don't accept the cop-out from the small engine manufacturers. If they know that ethanol eats their cheap rubber parts, then they should put better quality parts in their engine. That's simple. Or maybe they just like having a scapegoat for their own shortcomings?
