Are you talking about the 25" Canadian 218 or the American built 23" 217? The 25" Canadian 218 has a 3&3/8" bore same as the Canadian built 201 and the American built 228,and 241 25" motors. The American built 23" 217 has the same bore as the American built 230 - 3&1/4" bore. The American built 23" Plymouth motor(1935-41) does have a smaller bore 3&1/8". Find one of these and install in a 217 or 230 and you increase the compression ratio.
