I have a chevy 327 in a 42 WC. It fits very nicely. Length is very good width is not bad. It is a little tight with the rear spark plug and the steering box. Not a problem though. I used Rams Horn exhaust headers which are center drop and have no clearance problems. I have a chevy bell housing with a SM420 trams and a divorced transfer case. The Jack shaft is short and made up with a Chevy front piece and a Dodge rear piece. They have the same spline count so they just slip together. It was shortened slightly.

I initially had some cooling issues in hot weather at parade speeds. It took a while to figure out. I had to change the fan shroud to a smaller diameter hole and use a fan spacer to place the fan in the correct position with the shroud for maximum air flow. I am using a flexible stainless steel fan. I do not have an electric fan. Part of the issue is also how tight the sheet metal is which leaves little room for air flow.
