I measured a spindle ID and it is 1 7/16" (1.4375) maybe slightly more. so in theory 1.41 would fit but be close. some honing of spindle might be necessary. if where axle passes through spindle would be 1.375 then plenty of room. I bet if you had 1 3/8 material to start and had the splines rolled on the spline diameter would end up at 1.41
