The hardest part I repaired was learning how to change the ring and pinion gears. Using Russian Blue on the gears for correct mesh, pre load on the bearings etc. Rebuilding the transmission was easy to do. Just have to remember how it all goes back together and making sure all the gears and bearing are OK.
