point is lots of fellow go to the dana s etc. for upgrades which in my humble op is not an upgrade rather a downgrade from the stock axles
and if you really want a bullet proof powerwagon rear axle
unbreakable axles self adjusting powerful brakes centered diff and dual capapbilities these jap axles as far as driveability and heavy dutyness is the way to go i can get the hole axle here for $1000, just pop the u bolts and bolt up the jap(heaven forbid)axle
and can run stock power wagon wheels on it and nobody would know the difference except me my maker and some power wagon freak---lol
in my humble op the notion that it has to be stock or if not stock then dana and if not a flathead and if not a flathead then a dodge v8 and if not a dodge v8 then a cummins or some would even blasfemize with a chevy but in all reality who gives a shit--i am looking for functionability and improving where i can on the original design and keep the original look and the jab axles beat the dana s hands down by the same token when push comes to shove it s all the same nuts and bolts just diff. names
