I ruined a shaft once taken a wheel off and also ruined the steering wheel. They can get really stuck on there after 70 years! I lucked out the wheel on my 6X6 PW is loose I took it off already once. "Rock Guard Spray Paint" from NAPA works great to cover the imperfections after you fix the steering wheel.
