Part of the fun of these old trucks is the drive train. It was designed to be used together as a unit. One you start adding a better engine you can't just stop there. I liked driving my old PW with the flathead 6 in in and no syncros in the tranny. Like going back in time on a old dirt country road or back road in the mountains. There all around me only a few places to go over 50 MPH.
