Pretty much the opposite, I think. There will be fewer old guys around who think that driving and maintaining an old truck with limited usefulness makes sense. Same thing happened to early brass cars. They are nice, but how many people really want them sitting in the garage. There will always be a market for a few very special cars, but the market moves on as the younger generations reach their collector years.

An occasional dubious Ebay sale or an unconfirmed auction price doesn't mean you are going to get the same price. Remember the truck that supposedly sold at auction a few years ago for $50,000 but showed up recently on Ebay for around $20,000?

As for the unrestored green truck, I could see it going for $15,000 for the right person if it is as nice and rust-free as it looks. But, I've seen very nice restored trucks go for $20,000. And, $15,000 will buy you a nice, complete running truck.

I was at the gas station yesterday getting fuel for my FFPW. A guy came over and said he hadn't seen a Power Wagon since he used to drive them in the Air Force in Alaska. He said what a cold and miserable truck they were to drive. I had to agree with him. Power Wagons are interesting trucks and fun to drive into town once in awhile, but beyond that, they fail pretty miserably for highway use. The market for these trucks will always be limited. And, I think the supply is more than adequate for the demand.
