These are the differences:

- Splined shaft at bottom will interchange between all 3 PTOs using the appropriate lever end plate.

- The sliding gear is the same for all three PTOs.

- Reverse gear, shaft and bearings are the same for all three PTOs

- Shifter shaft is the same for all three PTOs

- Idler gear/shaft are not the same for all three PTOs, each is different

- Housings are different for all three PTOs and the spur gear idler PTOs do not interchange with the NP420.

- Housing and idler gear/shaft different between M37 and FFPW.

If FFPW idler shaft fits in M37 housing, and the distance between the idler shaft port and mounting surface of the M37 and FFPW PTOs are the same between, and the spacing between the front side of idler gears to the inside of the front side of housings are the same, then use FFPW PTO parts in M37 housing.
