I had the chance to go look at a second generation non synchro transmission pto combo yesterday.
The pto casting number was 2 digits different
Every external measurement I could take of the pto body I n a side by side comparison matched up. The shaft centers to shaft centers, bolt patterns etc were all identical.
Any one know what the difference is between the three different types of ptos housings. If the only difference is a bore size it may be easier to machine an old pto case to accept the internals of the newer ptos
