At that kind of money, especially, there's no excuse for the seller not getting a title -- except for the fact that he can't get one, because it's a government vehicle and it's never been titled and it was sold without a Form 97.
I would like to see an article in Military Vehicles magazine (or anywhere else) entitled "How I Obtained a Title for my HMMWV". Of course we'll never see it because nobody has done it. The Marine Corps ones came with titles. This latest batch? No way. Ain't going to happen -- especially with everybody worked up about the cops getting "military equipment" these days.
