One of the off-road magazines did a comparison test of various off-road vehicles. I expected the H-1 to run away with the test since it was pretty much a purpose-built vehicle.
A Jeep Grand Cherokee won. One of the gripes they had was that the H-1 was too wide for off-road work.
A couple of days ago, I saw an H-1 on the road. That was the first one I've seen in years. There used to be some on the road here in So. Cal. when Arnold had his. Now they are gone.
I understand that they fixed most of the problems with the H-1 as they neared the end of production. But, it is pretty much the wrong vehicle for any situation.
