I think there's a little mixture here in what you are saying and what Tom had to say that would be beneficial. I used to drive everything hard, too. And I ended up with a lot more repairs on clutches, transmissions, etc., than I do now. Diesels undoubtedly react differently than gassers when it comes to break-ins.
