Get your first oil pressure with a drill, if you use the starter you are still turning the motor over without oil pressure, that is a no-no, how long will it take to build 4or 5 lbs of pressure? 10-15 seconds? thats time with the motor turning over, no pressure, get it all primed and ready, and then start it, even if it don't start right away, it will still have oil pressure while you are cranking.
