I bet those guys had some great stories to tell their kids and their grandkids. Not many people get the chance to build a 1500 mile long road across a total wilderness, with all the equipment and men they could want, and orders to get it done by next summer. Did you catch the part at the end where they not only built fueling depots, but their own oil field and oil refinery to produce the fuel and pipe it the length of the highway?
