The fix you choose will depend on the life of use you expect from your PW. If you never plan to sell it, and want trouble free service, take the radiator to a quality radiator shop and have it re-cored.

On all my old iron builds, its a given to have a new core put in the radiator. These original radiators are very old and stressed.
Start fixing leaks and you can chase your tail till you have as much as a new core invested.

In my area a total new core, and changing neck to a pressure neck and changing inlet and outlet to Cummins sizes costs $750. In your case only a core, will be considerable less.

Do it right once and forget it.
