J, when you get it all back together, and all moves freely, grease it, and when you get done, grease it again, while it is out of gear and access to dogs is open, fill all the voids with grease, put it in with your fingers if you have to, but get it in there! then when you string your cable pour about two cups of fluid film on the cable, it will soak thru all of it, cover with one of those little canvas cable covers and it will be ready for years to come.
