As a young welder years ago I hired on with a job shop in Pullman. One of my first jobs was to go out with a journeyman and thaw pipes one extremely cold winter. The journeyman hooked everything up from the house to the water meter at the curb, fired up the big generator and burned the house down.Found out later the electrical ground was attached to the plumbing and the steel pipe had been spliced with plastic so that fed all of the power into the wiring. Poof don't try this at home.
