Well, I probably am a little extra annoyed because a couple of months ago I had 3 sheriff cars and 2 city cop cars in my driveway. A guy I buy firewood from came to my place with no license plates on an old truck he probably should not have been driving. One sheriff was on his heels. I went down to see what it was all about, accompanied by a friend who was at my place at the time. I walked toward him asking him if he could take this up on the county road, since I was trying to take my boat out on the lake. The sheriff ordered my friend and me to stop where we were and said he felt threatened by the three of us. My friend, said "man...you need help", admittedly a dumb thing to say. I told my friend to be quiet and politely asked again to take this process to the county road. Next thing I know the other 2 sheriffs and 2 city cops are pulling in the driveway....all because of my friend's dumb comment. I guess I should be glad this 72 year old man and his 65 year old friend weren't perceived as enough of a threat to shoot us both.
I wouldn't want there job in a million years, but I still say they are doing it because they want to, not because they are forced to.
