There are lots of things that are available, you can do to a 318 to make more horses do a google search on ( mopar 318 more horsepower) You can also install a 360 it will bolt right in no problem you would need a 360 flywheel and oil pan. If going to a big block you need mounts, bell housing,radiator, exhaust ect as the big block is all different. It all depends on what you want to do and how involved you want to get and how much you want to spend. I myself like the 318 and think you have a lot of options to get more horsepower out of it
