When I built this truck it had to meet federal regulations with the USFS on load ratings of the axles. I also wanted to carry the most water I could cause it decided how much money I could charge. I got $1,000.00 a day on the fires. For 7 years it worked and never had a problem. My center of gravity load was just above the frame also so it would side before tipping on a side hill. That is why I went with a low tank and 6- 4ft chambers inside the tank to baffle it. You can figure center of gravity with a formula also. So I did not guess on anything designing this truck it was all done on paper first then I welded it up. By the way this was my first real welding project I did! Man I was scared when I filled it with water to see if I did it right. If not I would have had to rebuild the whole thing over!!
