I feel like I have seen a difference but it may have to do with warm up and the alternator load from glow plugs. I was under the impression that winter blends just add #1 to the #2 fuel and I found #2 to be 139,600 BTU/gal and #1 to be 137,400 BTU/gal which does not seem significant enough to notice. Also for shorter drives which is mostly what I do in the winter, the gear oils would all be a little thicker. I pushing it here but also air is a little denser so I imagine the aerodynamic load is slightly higher?
