How long should it take a conscientious machine shop to perform all the machine work on a 230 flathead, including balancing, boring, align boring, valve job, crank grind, re-conditioning rods, cam bearings, hot tank, magnaflux, the works?

The old garage where I used to work had the Chevy 350's out and back with parts in less than two weeks, and an old early 40's Jeep flathead 4 cyl. out and back in about 6 - 8 weeks.

The shop where my engine is now has taken way too long, and I think it's time to collect the engine and take it to another shop to finish up the remaining work.
