Here's a combination for you. I recently brought a 55 C3PW home for parts and was missing a few lug nuts and had a few loose ones as well. As I tightened one of the existent right rear lug nuts (clockwise) imagine my surprise when it started to loosen up. Took a quick look at stud, yep it read "R", took a quick look at lug nut and sure as dickens it read "L". I guess this was someones idea of field expediency. So since the stud was already stripped I just went ahead and tightened counter clockwise and forgot it. And we wonder why parts wagons are parts wagons?
