I must say I'm quite proud of the old girl, Considering I had the front brakes torn apart the day before and the motor apart the day before that, She made it up and brought me back home. When I parked it for the night I thought I was going to have to make like that GI in the old Bill Maudlin cartoon and put her out of her misery. But again she fired right up for a morning ride into town. My steering loosened back up (funny how those gears like 90wt lube!!), and I dont see any stress cracks in the cab. On the trail my temp got up a little (200-210) but my oil pressure never dropped below 20 psi.
My father in law's leg is good to go, no stiches will be required. And my lumbar vertabrae are going back into alinment. Gil made it home O.K. So I say the trip was a great success.
