I apologize for asking for help before I totally helped myself. The problem is known, no fix till Monday.

One of the .023 drive rollers is not concentric. It allow drive to the wire for about 180 degrees of travel, the other 180 degrees does not feed wire. Thus the inability to hold a arc, bad burn back etc.

Re loaded .035 wire, and at 70 ipm at 14 volts it does quite well on sheet metal. I will get new .023 drive rollers on Monday.

I know....... I should have stayed with BLUE.
