old style tires were rated as follows
4 ply, 6 ply, 8 ply, 10 ply, etc.
the ply was the index of the air chamber strength of the tire (as the air in a tire carrys the load ) ie a 7.50x16 6ply max cap is 45psi
as tires improved they changed the ratings from 6 ply to 6 ply rated (your P.R. on the tire) could be a 4 ply sidewall with the chamber strength of an old 6ply
then they changed to load range which is still used
load range C = 6 ply rate
load range D = 8 ply rate
load range E = 10 ply rate
etc etc
now at 45 psi a 6ply, 8ply, or 10ply tire
will all carry the same load
your 7.50x16's are not radial & as you said
CANNOT be mixed with RADIAL tires
also with 4wheel drive vehicles the rolling circumference of all the tires must be THE SAME
park on a level flat surface mark each tire with a line on the sidewall at the bottom, mark the ground with a line in the same spot, move
the vehicle so that one of the tires makes one revolution and the line is again at the bottom, mark the ground, (on all 4) check to make sure all 4 tires bottom line is on the bottom.
the distance between the lines on the ground is the rolling circumf. if they are not identical you will get a bind & will be hard to take out of 4wd (in mud spinning no problem but on hard surface another story)
bottom line you need 4 matched tires
