440 in a '47???

been accumulating parts to build a '47 two ton into a tow rig. been leaning hard tward a cummins , but i am going to look at a 440+ auto tranny out of a '77 RV, price is right if it is good..

any advice on stuffing a 440 in a '47?? hood dimensions essentially the same as a latter (251 powered) flat fender. head space a little greater as frame is straight rather than drop..
