Finally!!! Starting to do some assembly instead of sanding and cleaning 53 years of crud. I went and set my cab for the 48 and decided to use the newer rubber mounts. acording to book smaller(thin) ones go on one side of the front. Problem is, I set one thock one on each corner, front & rear, just for initial fit and the floor of cab is just touching when I looked thru the floor pan area. Their is no way that a thin one will work on the front. Just to keep from rubbing the paint underneath while I worked at other things, I shoved a thin one on each front corner(stacked a thick&thin) and spacing at pedals and steering colum and floor looks ferfect. I am taking sugestions from any who have done this. I would mount this way or make a mount, but am woried about hood lining up down the line. I got the mounts from Dennis And am sure they are proper. What kind of clearance should I have from bottom of cab to frame? original wood was gone during the tear down. THANKS, John
