I have a T245 Engine that is going back together. I only just realized that the oil pan sump is in the front of the engine, not the rear. I read in some of the archives that some cars had this type. I have another pan with the sump in the back and I have both oil strainers. The problem is the T245 block doesn't have a hole for the oil dipstick. The pan that came off the T245 has the dipstick hole on the side of the pan. Will the front sump pan clear what's below it if I use it or is there a rear sump pan with a dipstick hole incorporated, or a different solution.
