When the temps are between 15 and zero, I plug my block heater in when I come in for the day. Its on till the next morning.

Temps Zero down (35/40 below) my block heater is plugged in 24 hours a day, only unplugged when I need to use the truck.

Using the block heater as I do, I get quick heat. The cab then runs T Shirt warm no matter how far below zero it gets.

I am 'very' generous with Power Service Diesel Fuel Treatment (anti gel). I use a lot each winter, but have never had a problem in deep sub zero temps.

Ah, the truck is a Ram 2500 CTD.
