Start by Making sure the pseedo works. Hook the end of the cable to a drill and run the drill. If the cable turns and the speedo doesn't, the problem is with the speedo. If the speedo turns then the problem is with the connection at the transfer case. I did that with mine and made sure al worked before I put the speedo in the dash.
Now I believe my cable is broke, as my speedo doesn't work. It was an original cable so Im thinking it broke, although I haven't taken it out yet, gonna do that today.
