Well this time I had the shimmy come back and it was with the original rims and tires. Went to an old school tire wheel and brake shop. He had the machine that spins the wheel on the truck. Jacked the front end up and puts the wheel to the drivers side wheel and tire…. little bit of a pulse and movement of the machine, not a lot, but some. He said, hard to tell if thats the rim bent or tire out of round.
Goes to the passenger side… can't even get it up to half speed and it bucks so bad it threw him back off the handle of the machine. He looks under the truck and the rim is moving about 1 1/2 in an oblong fashion
He looks at me and giggles, theres your problem right there. Bent rim, so between that one and the drivers side, just how DO you drive this thing??
Luckily Milo sent me a link, Im buying four rims and tires from a guy in Laguna beach, talked him down from 1200 to 1000.
Hopefully this will be the final death shimmy solved post, and the only mention of the death shimmy again will be IT NO LONGER EXISTS!
