Ah, I assumed it was on your truck. Yes, for potable water only unleaded solder is allowed these days. In fact most older brass and bronze including "free-machining brass" has been banned due to its lead content. The best you can do is try to flux it well and get the solder down into the crack, and put plenty of it on. It will probably hold up okay. I'm glad radiator shops are still allowed to use 50/50 solder.
