Engine is at machine shop.... Working thru aux equipment in the meantime.
By sn engine is known to not be original to the truck
Engine was not running when it came to me.
So it's hard to figure out what is right and what is wrong.
The water pump that was bolted up doesn't appear to be a normal 251 water pump based off the part pictures on vpw .
I'm even reluctant to say its a normal 230 engine water pump.
Might be off the orig vehicle the engine came out of?
Any one have better pictures of the water pump?
Would a 230 pump work on a 251 engine?
Any one have a good picture of bolt patern for a new 251 pump and interface to the block?
Any one ever found pump rebuild kits?
