Anything small that you need to lay in a trench: Electrical wires, fiberoptics, telephone lines, vacuum tubes, water supply, drain pipes, air lines, natural gas/lp, field tile, I read where they are even laying beer lines underground now.
Different models of these could trench to different depths. Should be able to dig to below frost levels in most areas.
