I took the bumper all a pat to get the winch gear box off, took the shaft cover off, both ends off the input shaft case. Once I got the brake off, it rotates just fine. The brake material was so bad it swelled and locked the shaft from turning. Now its fine. The worm gear and shaft gear are perfect, no warps, no missing teeth.
And mine looks just like yours, only with a coat of black paint. Im missing the clutch lever too.
I took just a few pics and a short video of the gear and worm turning, as I was greasy and grimy and didn't wanna get it on my camera. When I upload them Ill post the link
