The 'non powered axles' clan was not allowed to use rubber wheels for anything. Wood or steel only.
Funniest thing was seeing the horse drawn sickle mower powered by a Briggs & Stratton. Engine noise sure kept the horse moving. His power plant fit the mower, a spreader, and a picker, too. It's neat what they come up with to make their workload easier.
They are adaptable; one leader allows things, and the next one doesn't. About the only consistent thing I've seen is their attitude about money. They don't borrow it, ever. All the transactions I witnessed were cash only, even for land.
