Not as long as the surfaces are within specs for warpage (.006). If you're concerned, you can use Pipe Thread and Joint compound as the gasket sealer. You won't have any leaks with that stuff. Just make sure you use one that holds 6,000 psi per square inch. I have a low area between 5 & 6 on the block, no leaks 4 years and going after using it.
