I have that. According to the chart I have, a 2001 Ram 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 has a max CGVW of 18,000.

When I changed my tags, they didn't care what rating I used or what the actual limit of the truck is. I normally max it out around 15,200 for anything I am doing so 16k works. The guy I bought the truck from had it tagged at 24M for when he hauled round bales up to his place in Wyoming. I don't know what he did to get it to comfortably pull that on a stock transmission and engine output but I would be doing the entire drive at 30 mph.....
