OK, been awhile since I've checked in. Wasn't sure if I had to apply for membership before posting, etc.

Working on my 61 W300 leaking master cylinder. Bore was heavily pitted and I think I have honed it out beyond what new seals will handle.

Looking at buying a new bendix unit from Rock Auto for around $60.00. RA also list another unit for power brakes at around $100.00. These MC are single reservoir types. The truck has a bendix Hydro-Vac brake booster under the driver side. Do I need to buy the higher cost MC for power brakes or can I just buy the basic bendix unit?

Not sure how well the old Hydro Vac even works. The brakes wewre OK in the truck 8 yrs ago when it was running. LOL. Now I have it running again, but have the brake problem now. Should I just forget the single reservoir MC and brake booster and install a late 60's W200 non-PB dual reservoir MC? I realize the W200 MC bore is smaller than the W300, but I cannot find a dual reservoir MC for a W300 that is a manual brake MC. I don't want to mess w/ plumbing in a dual Hydro-Vac booster system.

I have to get this truck up and running as quick & cheap as possible as the county is concerned about my welfare being surrounded by old powerwagons not running, tagged, etc. I'm more concerned about the pack rats eating my trucks up!

Thanks
Larry
