Hi Dave, something sounds strange about their pricing. I had some acid etched tags made several years ago by a company in California. The first tag was expensive for the reasons they gave you & for me...I only needed one & the tag was so obscure that making extras would have been a waste of time but in those days, the first tag was $300 & then if I wanted 100 tags...that was an extra $100!
I'm betting a run of those tags could be made for $500ish for about 100 tags. Obviously since the 2 are different...that's 2 separate orders.
Most of the shops that were doing the acid etched tags shut down because it was kind of like chroming....not exactly environmentally friendly.
I'd contact that guy in Hungary...no? I thought he was doing real nice reproduction tags?
